Iced Chai Recipe | Chai Blue


Summer is here in the UK (finally) and luckily, you don't have to just have hot tea throughout the heatwave. What better way to use your Chai Blue blends than to make delicious iced tea?!


Our black chai latte infused with cinnamon, fennel, cardamom and other beautiful spices are combined with milk and ice for the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, refreshing you after a day in the sun. Aromatic, unique and prepared traditionally, each of our products work perfectly with these recipes. Give it a go, we promise you'll love it!




How to make an iced chai latte


Method 1 - Quick Iced Chai

Prep time: 5 mins

Steep time: 30 mins




What you'll need

300ml water

Ice (to your desired taste)

Milk (optional to your desired taste)

2 tsp of your Chai Blue blend (all will work!)


Instructions

  1. Add 300ml of water into a pan and boil over a high heat.

  2. Add in your 2 tsp of your Chai Blue blend and let it boil for 1 minute.

  3. Once boiled, let it cool and strain the mixture into a fridge-friendly cup.

  4. Place the cup into the fridge for 30 minutes.

  5. After 30 minutes, take it out of the fridge and add your desired ice.

  6. Add a splash of your desired milk (optional).

  7. Enjoy!

Tip: add honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness. Stir to dissolve the honey.



Method 2: Overnight Iced Chai

Prep time: 5 mins

Steep time: 4 - 8 hours



What you'll need

350ml cold water

Ice (to your desired taste)

Milk (optional to your desired taste)

2 tsp of your Chai Blue blend (all will work!)


Instructions

  1. Add 350ml of cold water into a glass.

  2. Place 2 tsp of your Chai Blue blend into the cold water.

  3. Let the blend steep for 4 - 8 hours, or overnight.

  4. Strain and serve with desired ice and milk (optional).


For more servings, simply double this recipe.


The prepared chai (with and without honey) will keep for at least a week in the fridge.
